Training Aggressive Dogs Correctly
It doesn’t take a genius to get into training aggressive dogs. You can even do so yourself if you have a moderately aggressive dog. There are a couple of top techniques that you would have to learn first though.
Socialization
Like humans, dogs too are social animals. If you cut this aspect of their nature you may create aggressive tendencies. Hence, a dog that is not used to other animals and to humans may act defensively most of the time. To eliminate this type of aggressive behavior, you need to give your dog opportunities to socialize. Bring it out for walks in the neighborhood or in the park. Do make sure though that you closely supervise your dog in case it acts in an undesirable way.
Play Time
Dogs in general have lots of energy in them. Your dog should therefore always have opportunities to channel their energy. Otherwise, pent up energy may be released in acts of aggression. Play time is therefore a crucial part of training aggressive dogs. Play with your dog outdoors and buy it age appropriate toys to chew on.
Positive Reinforcement
Dogs do well if they are rewarded for good behavior. The best way therefore to cut aggressive behavior is to reward it every time it acts in the opposite way which is in a non-aggressive manner. You dont have to give it treats all the time. Training aggressive dogs effectively through positive reinforcement may simply involve praising it for good deeds. This will encourage it to act in the same way next time so it can get a rub on the neck and a good boy from you.
