Why the Change in Dog Behavior?
It can be a bit of a worry if you suddenly experience a change in dog behavior. This is especially if the change is for the worse and your dog suddenly becomes aggressive or unmanageable. Common sense should tell you though that changes happen for a reason and that it is not within a dogs nature to suddenly flip and show a different side of itself. There is always a reason behind sudden behavior shifts.
Obviously, the change in dog behavior may be the result of something that your dog is currently experiencing. This simply makes sense because an event, occurrence or a concurrent shift in its environment would naturally call for your dog to adapt behavior that would fit the situation. Although at first things may seem like a mystery to you, all you really have to do is to reevaluate what your dog has been through with you and what it is going through now.
It is possible for example that your dog may have become more aggressive because it lacks socialization. It may also have become more destructive because you don’t give it enough time to play and enough toys to play with. If your dog is acting all bossy, it may be because you always let it do so. In all these situations, the blame is mostly on you.
Now you know the possible reasons behind a change in dog behavior. Since they are related to your own actions, modifying how you interact with your dog might just help your dog revert to its old behaved self.
